Would you like to spend 3 nights in Lampeter speaking Welsh, learning Welsh songs, and making music with us?
Join us for a weekend of Welsh music, language, and fun! You’ll have the chance to learn Welsh songs, explore different instruments, and immerse yourself in the world of Welsh music.
We’ll be cooking, eating, meeting Welsh speakers, playing games, and making music together.
This is currently only open to people who play an instrument.
If you’d like to stay, the price is £175 for three nights. To book your place, simply pay a £75 deposit now to reserve your spot.

I have been learning Welsh for 7 years. During the weekend, we will, of course, meet lots of Welsh speakers, and we’ll be practising Welsh together in the house throughout the weekend.
Iestyn will be joining us on Saturday
Iestyn is a multi-genre musician, performing in various bands including the punk-rock band
‘Ble?’ and the Modern Folk band ‘Cadog’. He also often performs as a solo artist, as well as
supporting some of Wales; best singers and songwriters, from Caryl Parry Jones to Bronwen Lewis. He will share some songs with us, and demonstrate some of his other incredible talents; we will even be able to have a go ourselves at clocsio, although there is absolutely no obligation to do so.
Food & Meals:
Breakfast and one other meal will be provided each day in the house for free. However, you may need a little spending money for extras while we’re out and about, as we usually enjoy one meal out.
Dates & Times:
Arrive on Friday, 12th June, around 5pm, and depart on Monday 15th at 10am (or earlier if you wish).
Location:
Lampeter is one of the best towns in South Wales for hearing and using the Welsh language everywhere you go. Our accommodation, Garth Newydd, offers a new level of comfort for Welsh learners.
Please note: We will only be speaking Welsh for the duration of your stay.
*Our biggest financial challenge unfortuantely is handling cancellations. The deposit can only strictly be refunded if notice is given 14 days before the date of the weekend and can no longer be refunded or moved to another date. It is impossible to sell the places at short notice and the weekends fail financially.
Garth Newydd is a Community Interest Company (CIC), meaning we run as a not-for-profit for the benefit of the community. Money raised from events goes back into improving the space and supporting future activities.
