Join us for a weekend of Welsh Winter traditions and music from Gwilym Bowen Rhys. We are excited that Gwilym is joining us again, following the amazing weekends we had with him over the last two years. An immensely talented singer and story teller, he will be joining us on the Friday late afternoon and performing on the Friday Evening. The weekend will be about Welsh Winter traditions, and we will be writing and performing with the Mari Llwyd, as we did during last year’s fantastic event. On the Saturday evening, we will be learning traditional Welsh folk dances and joining in/creating a Twmpath (dancing optional).
Cost of this including 3 nights’ accommodation at Garth Newydd is £195, with a deposit of £75, to secure your place now. We will only be using Cymraeg to communicate across the weekend. Breakfast daily, plus one meal a day will be provided in the accommodation. You will need a bit of money to eat out locally, once a day; we will be eating a carvery lunch in Castle Green (£13) on the Sunday.
You will arrive on Friday 3rd of January around 2pm. You will leave by 10am on Monday 6th January.
Lampeter is one of the best towns in South Wales for the Welsh language to be heard and used everywhere.
