Three nights’ accommodation in a Welsh Immersion experience is only £175, designed to help you gain confidence in using your Welsh. This weekend we will be celebrating St David, and exploring the traditions that go along with that. Each year Lampeter Council puts on a March to celebrate St David’s Day, and a number of events and music celebrations are lined up, including bands and choirs performing through the day on Saturday 1st March. This is a brilliant weekend for getting to speak to Welsh learning locals and first-language speakers, as lots will be out and about for the event.
To book a place please pay the deposit - £75 now, and the rest on arrival
Arrive on Friday 28th of February anytime from 5pm and leave on Monday 3rd March by 10am
You can leave earlier if you wish.
What can you expect? The idea of these weekends is that you use the Welsh that you have been learning. You will be in a house of other Welsh learners, and everyone will be trying their best to communicate and live through Welsh, as we cook, eat and socialise together. During the weekend, we will introduce you to Welsh speakers, and we will go out and about to use our Welsh. At times it can be challenging, but the rewards are huge!
Lampeter is one of the best towns in Mid/South Wales for the Welsh language to be heard and used everywhere. Our home-from-home, Garth Newydd brings a new level of comfort to Welsh courses.
Breakfast and one evening meal a day will be provided in the house for free, but you will need some money for a meal out each day. We usually have Sunday lunch together which is £13, and there are cafes and takeaways that have meals for around £5
If you are local and wish to hang out with us for free, that's no problem: email us on contactpaned@gmail.com
Deposit is refundable upto 14 days before the event but not after.
