Would you like to spend 3 Nights in Lampeter Speaking Welsh and learning Welsh songs and watching or even joining in some clog dancing. We will be cooking, eating, meeting Welsh speakers, playing games and making music. On the Friday night we will be settling in and learning some Welsh songs and on the Saturday there will be a music workshop led by Iestyn Gwyn Jones and in the evening some clocsio (clog dancing) that you can watch or try.
Breakfast and one other meal will be provided in the house each day for free but of course you may need a little bit of money for bits and pieces out and about. We usually eat one meal one out.
Arrive on Friday 1st around 5pm and leave on the Monday at 10am or earlier if you wish.
Lampeter is one of the best towns in South Wales for the Welsh language to be heard and used everywhere. Our premises Garth Newydd brings a new level of comfort to Welsh learning. Please note we will only be speaking Welsh during the duration of your stay.

Wedi bod yn clocsio a dawnsio gwerin ers dros 12 mlynedd ag wedi perfformio ar draws y byd, yng Ngwyl Ddawns Traddodiadol Majorca a hefyd ar brif lwyfan Dathliadau Gwyl Ddewi ym mharc Disneyland Paris. Mae Iestyn hefyd wedi cael tipyn o lwyddiant mewn Eisteddfodau yng Nghymru gan gipio sawl medal aur, arian ac efydd mewn pob math o gystadleuthau clocsio a dawnsio gwerin.
Mae Iestyn hefyd yn gerddor aml-genre yn perfformio mewn amryw o fandiau gan gynnwys y band punk-rock “BLE?” a’r band Gwerin Modern “CADOG”. Mae e hefyd yn perfformio’n aml fel artist unigol gan gefnogi rhai o gantorion a chyfansoddwyr gorau cymru o Caryl Parry Jones i Bronwen Lewis.

Iestyn Gwyn Jones is a Musician, Singer/Songwriter and Clog Dancer from Cardiff.
He’s been clogging and folk dancing for over 12 years and has performed all over the world, at the Majorca Traditional Dance Festival and also on the main stage of St David's Day Celebrations at Disneyland Paris. Iestyn has also had quite a bit of success in Eisteddfods in Wales, winning several gold, silver and bronze medals in all kinds of clogging and folk dancing competitions.
Iestyn is also a multi-genre musician performing in various bands including the punk-rock band "BLE?" and the Modern Folk band “CADOG”. He also often performs as a solo artist supporting some of Wales' best singers and songwriters from Caryl Parry Jones to Bronwen Lewis.
