Due to the popularity of this weekend, we are offering extra places to people, staying in the University accommodation, and joining us for our events. The University offers their executive rooms, each with En-suite.
Join us for a weekend of Welsh winter traditions and music from Gwilym Bowen Rhys. We are excited that Gwilym is joining us again, following the amazing weekends we have had with him over the last two years. An immensely talented singer and story teller, he will be joining us on the Friday late afternoon and performing on the Friday Evening. The weekend will be about Welsh Winter traditions, and we will be writing and performing with the Mari Llwyd, as we did during last year’s fantastic event. On the Saturday evening, we will be learning traditional Welsh folk dances and joining in/creating a Twmpath (dancing optional!).
Cost of this including 2 nights’ accommodation in a single room at Lampeter University is £165, with a deposit of £75, to secure your place now. We will only be using Cymraeg to communicate across the weekend. Breakfast is included each morning, but you will eat out locally for other meals (there are numerous cafes in Lampeter).
You will Arrive on Friday 3rd of January around 2pm. You will leave the accommodation at 11am on Sunday 5th, but you can join us at Castle Green Restaurant for Sunday carvery lunch (£13) if you wish, before leaving.
Lampeter is one of the best towns in South Wales for the Welsh language to be heard and used everywhere.
**Deposits can be refunded for cancellation up-to 14 days before the event, but not afterwards, as we won't have time to sell your place to someone else.
