Would you like to join us walking across the Welsh Coastal path whilst speaking in Welsh? The Walks will be around the Cardiff area across two days. It's free of charge, if you are local simply join us, if you are from further away you may wish to book a hotel. It's the weekend of the football so book in soon.
On Saturday 14th we shall meet at Penarth Cliff top cark park at 10.30am once everyone is there we will take a couple of cars down to park in Barry and walk back along the coast.
Once we arrive back I can take the drivers back down to collect their cars. The trip is approximately 10 miles depending where we join the path and is generally flat. I would expect the trip to take about 4 hours so with a stop to eat our lunch. I would estimate that we will finish about 3. Although the walk is ten miles it is shorter by car.
On Sunday 15th we shall meet at Penarth Cliff Cark Park again at 10.30am and take a couple of cars upto Tredderch Park, Cardiff where we can park free and then walk back. At the end of the day we can shuttle back to collect the cars. Again the journey is about 10 miles walking but shorter by car. I expect us to take about 4 hours.
This two day adventure is for Welsh learners who are happy to walk around 8 miles a day speaking only in Welsh.
Marcus will be running this weekend, he has been learning Welsh for 4.5 years now.
I will be walking no matter the weather so dress appropriately and bring some food and water with you.
Although it's free of charge you will need to book a place. The walks will start at 10.30am both days. You can join us for one or both.
